Extract text from a PDF and save it as an editable Word (.doc) file.

Choose the PDF file you want to convert.
βIt reads the embedded text content from your PDF, where available.
βDownload an editable Word (.doc) file containing the extracted text.
This tool reads the underlying text content stored in your PDF (not a visual rendering) and reconstructs it into an editable Word document, preserving text content and, where possible, basic paragraph structure. This works reliably on PDFs that contain actual embedded text (like ones exported from Word, Google Docs, or similar), but PDFs that are scanned images of text require OCR (optical character recognition) to extract readable text at all.
A PDF exported directly from a word processor typically converts cleanly, since its text is stored as actual character data that this tool can extract directly. A PDF that's a scanned photo of a printed page, by contrast, contains no extractable text at all — it's just an image — and would need OCR processing to become editable text, which is a different (and less precise) process than direct text extraction.
Useful for extracting and editing text content from text-based PDFs (reports, articles, letters). For scanned documents or PDFs with complex layouts, expect to do manual formatting cleanup after conversion, or use a dedicated OCR tool for scanned content specifically.
Conversion accuracy depends heavily on the source PDF: text-based PDFs convert cleanly into editable paragraphs, while scanned image-only PDFs may need OCR (text recognition) before they can be properly edited in Word.
